‘Infraworld’ appeared as an Easter Egg in Heavy Rain. Studio boss David Cage said they’re working on two ”very different” projects right now. Is this one?
Previously Infraworld had been canned in the early stages of its development but it may be back on if SCEE’s trademark is anything to go by. Perhaps the project has left Quanitc Dream and found a new home to nurse it to a retail release?
”I want to create a genre,” proclaimed Quantic’s David Cage.
He wants to convince more people that emotional gaming, like in Heavy Rain, ”is a valid direction for the industry; to show them that this was not just one product, one story. It’s a format that can be used to tell any kind of story in any genre with any tone.”
”I would really like the opportunity to work on a different type of game. I would love to see if what we discovered could be applied to a first-person shooter, for example.”
