JeuxVideo’s said however that a relationship with Ubi’s Jade Raymond was in fact a joke, this was taken though as the ‘digital-only’ report was entirely a joke.
One of the JeuxVideo admins posted on their website comments section to try and clear up this misunderstanding of what is and what isn’t part of this ‘joke’.
English translation (via dark sorcery):
”So I’m coming back again to clarify again what I intended to say in this article: Kevin’s tip about the digital-only form of I Am Alive is authentic. What is not (and which is not even hard to understand, it amazes me that some people want we do act of contrition) is the introduction about Jade Raymond. That’s it.”
The relationship part was the joke, not the sourced rumoured of I Am Alive going digital-only. Ubisoft’s only comment thus far has been that no official announcement is pending yet. It’s horrible when a joke misfires, more so when the Internet knows about it.
