It’s not going to feel like it’s one of his games, he says. The project is ”definitely a Grasshopper game” not a Mikami one. He’s overseeing the fun factor.
”When you play it, especially if you’ve played a Resident Evil, you can kind of sense ‘ah, there’s a little bit of Resident Evil here,’” acknowledges Shinji Mikami. ”But I don’t think it’s from the start it’s a Mikami game. It’s definitely a Grasshopper game.”
“I’m there to make sure the gameplay is right — make sure it’s tight, make sure it’s fun. That’s why I’m there,” he said. “When you look at it, you’re going to say this is a Grasshopper game.” Mikami-san is more on the technical side than the creative.
