They've been talking about a sequel "for quite a while," but its fate rests with the first game. He wants a "third gameplay layer" added, but won't elaborate.
"We've been talking about it for quite a while," admitted Kaos general manager, David Votypka. "THQ and Kaos have always looked at it as a franchise. Assuming it does well, that's certainly the plan – to move on to future Homefront products."
"I can't talk too much about it," he said, referring to this mysterious 'third layer', "but I will say that in Homefront we have some great in-game storytelling moments and we have our combat moments. I'd like to add a third gameplay layer to that."
"A really gameplay centric layer. I'll leave it at that." What a tease!
Homefront releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC March 18th.
