DOOM was unbanned in Germany a few weeks ago, and id Software’s Quake has joined it. According to Germany’s Federal Department for Media Harmful to Young Persons (BPjM), Quake is no longer in the category created by the commission which makes games commercially equivalent to porn.
It look 15 years to allow it to be legal to sell Quake in Germany - let us know if you enjoyed the game on its initial release in 1996.
