In the blog, Tabata discussed the game’s lengthy development over the past three and a half years.
Type-0 will be seeing somewhat of a landmark tomorrow as it makes its playable debut at a Tokyo demo event at Odaiba. The demo will be limited to 15 minutes, and to allow players to get the most of the game, the staff has prepared a special version called “Natsubi” which will allow players to take on missions straight from their avatar’s room which serves as the base of operations. The special version is also artificially easier to allow players to see more content.
The demo grants access to seven of the characters: Queen, Rem, Ace, Nine, Machina, King and Scythe. Since there’s no actual online multiplayer, the demo will use a simulacrum, faking the combat with AI instead of other players.
Final Fantasy Type-0 will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this year.
