Which is not to say that it’s not a movie licensed game that will be released in conjunction with the live action film coming out in a few weeks. Rubino just insists that Thor won’t try to recreate the film.
”We’re not just playing the movie over again — that’s not happening,” said Rubino, ”We have our storyline written by Matt Fraction. Yes, we share some elements with the movie — obviously, our Thor looks like Chris Hemsworth, we have some voice acting and likenesses — but we tried to do our own thing.”
”Our goal was not to make a movie game,” insisted Rubino, ”our goal was to make a good game.”
Thor: God of Thunder will be released on May 3, 2011. Whether it’s a good game or not remains to be seen.
