Robert Patrick, the iconic liquid T from Terminator 2, will be taking the role of Guerrilla’s Alec Mason 25 years after the game. Brian J. Smith is his son, Jake.
Smith was most recently in Stargate Universe which is now ended. He is an officer in the Red Faction militia and learns his kidnapped sister, taken 12 years ago, is still alive and in fact part of a powerful invasion.
THQ and SyFy didn’t provide specific details for the other actors but did at least name them. Kate Vernon (Battlestar Galactica), Danielle Nicolet (The Starter Wife), Gareth David-Lloyd (Torchwood), and Devon Graye (Dexter) are all in.
The great news for Red Faction fans is the director - Michael Nankin - who worked on the extremely popular Battlestar Galactica TV series, and the less known Caprica. The script is from Andrew Kreisberg who writes the show Warehouse 13.
Production begins this week in Bulgaria - Earth’s own Mars I guess? Red Faction: Armageddon releases on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC in May when Origins premiers.
