Sony Online Entertainment president John Smedley has been revealing some interesting statistics about DC Universe Online via Twitter. Since going free-to-play on 1st November, revenue is up 700 per cent .
According to Smedley, revenue is split 53 per cent from the PlayStation 3 version and 47 per cent from the PC. The amount of people playing is growing by six per cent a day, while more than 85% of daily log-ins are returning players.
Vanguard of the Heavens character skins and additional character slots are the best selling marketplace items.
These statistics prove that going free-to-play was a good move for DC Universe Online, but what can be said for other MMO games with subscription fees?
