Publisher Slitherine is gearing up for the launch of its new show, The Hot Seat, which aims to explore “strategy games in all their forms.”
Hosted by Marco A. Minoli, Slitherine’s Director of Publishing, The Hot Seat’s first episode is slated to go live today at 9 AM PT/5 PM BST.
Slitherine Announces New Show The Hot Seat
Slitherine’s CEO, Iain McNeil, and Jakub Stokalski, Game Director of Frostpunk 2 are also joining as special guests. In addition, the show will include a special segment dedicated to the world of tabletop gaming.
You can watch the first episode of The Hot Seat on both Slitherine’s YouTube and Twitch channels. The publisher has yet to shared details regarding future episodes or a potential schedule.
Earlier this month, Slitherine celebrated its 25th anniversary through a series of deep discounts, giveaways, and announcements.
As far as the latter go, we learned that the company is working on “fourteen products” that were yet to be announced before it lifted the veil from one of them, World War 2 real-time strategy game Battleplan.
Although it has dabbled in different styles of strategy games over the years, Slitherine has made a name for itself in the wargaming and more “hardcore” spaces.
Bringing special guests who developed mainstream titles on The Hot Seat should translate into interesting discussions that yield new insights into what’s certainly a rich genre.
