The PlayStation Network now enters its sixth day of no service, and Sony ”don’t have an update or timeframe” to offer us yet says Patrick Seybold.
”I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online,” said Sony communications chief Patrick Seybold. ”Unfortunately, I don’t have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time.”
”As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we’re working to get them back online quickly. We’ll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience.”
PSN went offline last week which was horribly timed as Valve’s Portal 2 released; a game that celebrates online co-op play with the ever gracious science testing host GLaDOS. Hacking group Anonymous claim they’ve not initiated the attack.
Only those with modified PS3 consoles are potentially at risk from personal details being snooped on claims a knowledgeable ‘coding enthusiast’, while the vanilla flavour PS3 remains in safe-ish hands by comparison.
The real danger for Sony is the PS3 community losing faith in their ability to keep PlayStation Network running consistently and if that happens there could be a mass exodus. Have you been affected by the outage of the PlayStation Network, videogamer?
