During the entirety of 2011, many hints have been dropped regarding the development of a new God of War game. Developer Sony Santa Monica has posted classified ads looking for talent for the God of War team. A few PlayStation magazines reported rumors in the past year such as the next game having online multiplayer, while others have claimed that God of War IV would be hitting in September 2012.
The latest evidence is pretty convincing in proving that development in the fourth game in the God of War series is well underway. Film composer Tim Williams, who worked on the Conan the Barbarian remake and Rise of the Argonauts, listed God of War IV on his online resume. He quickly removed the reference after the news broke.
This would not be Williams’ first foray into videogame scoring. The composer also worked on the score for Valve’s Defense of the Ancients 2.
