Toyota has built a prototype car that uses Kinect.
The Toyota Smart Insect uses Microsoft’s sensor to recognise its owner’s body and face. This allows it to perform simple actions such as opening doors at the right time.
Voice-recognition commands can also be used. A speaker on the hood, plus the front and rear displays, will greet drivers with a welcome message.
While this car may never go into production, it’s interesting to see the technology being explored.
