Killzone’s Guerrilla Games has three simultaneous projects up and running they revealed at GDC in San Francisco. One is Killzone for PlayStation Vita handled by Sony Cambridge Studios.
Another is Killzone for PS3 in some capacity, and a non-Killzone IP. It’s unclear if Guerrilla’s Jan-Bart van Beek refered to new DLC for PS3. 32 ideas were pitched.
32 ideas where wittled down to just four. It’s not said if the ideas mentioned by the art director are the finalists but ‘zombies, werewolves, steampunk and Ghost in the Shell’ came up.
The steampunk pitch would have be about a retro-futuristic ’70s punk title called Dark Science, where players would have filled the boots of Jake Crowbar, tackling all manner of monsters. This pitch eventually died. Jan-Bart van Beek stated cleary that it wasn’t their next project. What a tease.
