Legendary Sierra On-Line writer Jane Jensen, best known for the Gabriel Knight adventure game series, has announced the foundation of a new company, Pinkerton Road, which will be comprised of herself and her music composer husband Robert Holmes.
Moreover, she has announced a new project on Kickstarter, or, rather, three possible projects. She has three game concepts and has begun a fan vote on which one to work on first.
The three projects are:
* Gray Matter 2: “It will be a 3rd person adventure game with a point-and-click mechanic like Gray Matter and an improved magic interface – and more time playing Dr. Styles!”
-
Moebius: “2D, graphic novel look and feel (like an updated GK1). It will be a 3rd person adventure game with a point-and-click mechanic and lots of sophisticated puzzles.”
-
Anglophile Adventure: “High resolution, high detail 2D (resolution set for ipad3) in a realistic cartoony style. Point and click adventure with classic adventure puzzles appropriate to the historical period.”
Jensen has also stated that there will be a difficulty toggle for the adventure games:: “casual” and “true adventure”.
The game that is eventually pegged for development will be released on PC and iOS on March 2013. Check out the Kickstarter page here to see the concept art for all three concepts.
