The Emeryville, California-based Backbone was presently putting together a bundle of 30 classic Midway titles for Midway Arcade Origins. Recently they brought LEGO Rock Band to 3DS.
The Backbone team also worked on Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for Xbox Live Arcade. Established in 2003 the California developer made their mark with PSP’s Death Jr.
”Backbone was currently working on Midway Arcade Origins, a collection of 30 classic Midway classics including Gaunlet, Joust, and Spy Hunter,” report IGN, courtesy of their insider sources. The studio bosses appear hopeful a smaller Backbone will have a greater chance at keeping the company alive. Hopefully it works out for them.
