PlayStation 3 users have had to deal with a serious framerate bug that causes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to stutter, and Bethesda has promised them that this month’s 1.4 patch will finally address that issue. Frustratingly for PS3 gamers, the issue had not been solved by the major patch that was released in December.
When asked by a PS3 gamer regarding the update on Twitter, ”What about PS3 Lag ?????”, Bethesda’s community manager tweeted back, ”we’re addressing that in the 1.4 update planned for this month.”
For an example of how the stuttering bug affects gameplay, one PS3 user uploaded the following video, explaining the technical issue: ”Generally it starts to get worse the longer you play (this is after an hour or two) and it only really starts after the save file gets above 5-6MB in size. Right now my save file for this game is over 8.4MB.with over 48 hours of play time.”
