The petition for a PC version of the popular hardcore action title Dark Souls, which was begun last January, has reached 90,000 signatures. However, despite some coy urging from publisher Namco-Bandai, no announcement regarding such a title has been made yet. Developer From Software can do nothing but shrug its shoulders at the situation. When asked about making a PC version of Dark Souls, head of R&D Masanori Takeuchi stated, "That's going to be a decision left up to the publisher, Namco Bandai, but yes, we have seen the comments and we do know of the desire for a PC version." It's strange, since Namco-Bandai stated outright it was "impressed" by the petition and the desire for a PC port. Fans hope surely the publisher is impressed enough to actually start working on one. Dark Souls was released last October 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and earned an 8.0/10 score from Strategy Informer's review. |
