Riot Games has announced that the developer has completed its investigation into reports of cheating at the League of Legends World Playoffs and will be fining one team, Azubu Frost, $30,000, which is 1/5 of the team’s tourney winnings to date.
The fine will be donated to a Korean charity.
However, the team’s cheating did not directly affect the tournament standings, so the results will be allowed to stand.
Riot also found three other teams guilty of “unsportsmanlike” behaviour, but Riot has chosen to issue warnings instead.
