Sega has announced that Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will be hitting on the 5th June on the North American PlayStation Network, and on the 6th June on Xbox Live Arcade worldwide. No release date has been confirmed for the European PSN release.
The fighting game revamp will cost cost 1200 Microsoft Points ($14.99/ £9.99/ AUD$18.25/ €12.99.) There will also be DLC packs available on launch totaling 19, one for each fighter in the game. Each pack will include 600 to 950 items for each fighter, and will cost 400 MSP ($4.99/ £3.59/ AUD$6.25/ €4.49.)
Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown will contain a full overhaul of Virtua Fighter 5’s mechanics, balance and animations, along with new game modes, new dynamic fighting arenas, a huge collection of customisable character items and two all-new characters added to the roster, Taka-Arashi and newcomer Jean Kujo.
The original Virtua Fighter 5 was released in 2007 for PlayStation 3, and months later for Xbox 360.
