The newly opened EA Gothenburg in Sweden has been renamed Ghost, with the studio’s new website advertising a host of new positions. As Gothenburg the team were Need for Speed bound.
The development team were also using DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine, which is widely used by EA for other titles outside Battlefield. UK-based Criterion Games are ‘in charge’ of Need for Speed.
Ghost currently has 16 job vacancies on the go which includes Art Director, Audio Designer, Gameplay Designer & Producer, Creative Director and other fancy titles.
The most telling of course is the Vehicle Artist, which means they’re definitely still burning rubber on the Need for Speed franchise. The most recent has been Most Wanted from Criterion, which lacks any story narrative beyond the player looking to become the best illegal street racer there is.
Will Ghost and Criterion be bouncing Need for Speed between them from now on?
