As it stands, Wasteland 2 has passed the $1.3M mark. Fargo had promised that if the game reached $1.25M, the developer would use the extra money to build a bigger world, with more maps, stories and music.
Now, the next tier is $1.5M, and if it reaches that mark, inExile will release the game on Mac OSX and Linux, and expand the game world even more with more story elements, characters and challenges.
The game still has over four weeks of funding to go, ending on the 17th April. Fargo has expanded some of the reward tiers. For example, the $2,500 donation tier will allow the donor to place a personalized collectible artifact in the game's world and write its backstory. It can be anything from a teddy bear to an engagement ring.
Of course, gamers may just be interested in some of the more modest donation prizes. The $50 donation will get the player both a digital copy and a full large boxed copy of the game, with some feelies added, including a cloth map and an actual old school manual, as well as the soundtrack and a digital concept art book, along with a sneak peak at an upcoming novella based on the game.
