Aion preps for free-to-play switch in Europe, pre-loading new client

The transition from subscriptions to the free-to-play model has begun for MMO Aion in Europe as the new client can be pre-loaded, and there’s info on the switch to Gameforge’s new servers.

This February the MMO goes free-to-play in Europe but keeps subscriptions in North America. It’s a bid to get more players on the Aion servers, which have been shrinking.
