Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City developer Slant Six Games is puzzled at the negative reviews being aimed at the game. The developer hasn't given up on the game, however, and is working to incorporate player feedback into future updates.
In response to a fan tweeting, "I am having a hard time figuring out why this game is getting such bad reviews. It's absolutely fun and awesome!", Slant Six replied, "Ha - us too Kyle! We're listening to the players though and they seem to like it and that is the most important thing :)"
The dev later tweeted, "We’re pumped on all the great feedback from players. Thanks for sharing with us.”
The game has been savaged by reviews, with a Metacritic score of 54 for the Xbox 360 version and a 49 for the PlayStation 3 version. Strategy Informer panned the game with a 3.0/10 score in its review, calling it "Resident Evil: POOOOOOO," criticizing, "Capcom have done an amazingly awful job."
The PC version will be coming in May - it'll be interesting to see if that version is an improvement.
