Do you remember those days where ‘multiplayer’ was basically you and a mate sitting side by side on a couch and crying ‘cheater’ because they were looking at your half of the screen to figure out where you were? No? Me neither.
Starhawk, the spiritual successor to 2007’s Warhawk, wants to change that by bringing not only split-screen co-op, but also split screen head-to-head multiplayer.
Gamers can also make use of a dual log-in system, whereby both players can be signed into their PSN accounts and retain and XP and rewards they earn during a session, even if they’re not logged in on their native machine.
Starhawk is due out on the Playstation Network on May 8th, 2012.
