The funding for The Banner Saga on Kickstarter ended thirty minutes ago as of the time of this writing. Since the project passed the $650K mark, ending with just over $700K, the game will feature player-owned cities in multiplayer.
According to the developer, "In multiplayer, players will control their own city, raising it from a modest village to a bustling city with visual customization and their guild crest flying on the walls. Over time, players can construct buildings that will allow them to recruit new units, trade for powerful items and ultimately fight for territory."
However, the bigger surprise is that the game will be seeing a release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network as well.
The guys at Stoic games also had a message for donators.
