Blizzard has announced that the publisher will be skipping their annual convention BlizzCon in 2012, chiefly due to a ”jam-packed schedule”.
According to the company, ”We’re heavily focused on getting Diablo 3, Mists of Pandaria, and Heart of the Swarm into players’ hands as soon as possible. In light of our jam-packed schedule, we’ve decided to hold the next BlizzCon in 2013.”
Blizzard added that the 2012 Battle.net World Championship in Asia will still be held near the end of the year.
None of the three games and expansions they cited had a release date yet, nor did they state if any of them would be playable at this year’s E3. In addition, are there any other projects going on that they didn’t mention, aside from their well-publicised but unrevealed Project Titan?
Blizzard reassured gamers that the popular convention would return in 2013.
