Disney continues to voraciously devour major intellectual properties. After claiming The Muppets and Marvel Comics, the House of Mouse has astonishingly announced that the company has bought Lucasfilm for over $4 billion.
According to Disney CEO Bob Iger, the storyline for the next Star Wars trilogy is been plotted out, and Episode 7 was now in early-stage development.
The deal includes not only all of the famous IPs owned by LucasArts including Indiana Jones but also the videogame division LucasArts.
