The player known as Retrominano sent a message of the problem to a friend before shortly confirming via Reddit he had reset his stats to hopefully avoid the continued harassment.
Before taking the unfortunate measure of dumping his player stats, Retrominano had tried having his IP changed but the attackers soon pounced again.
Do other top ranking players for Black Ops 2 have need to fear similar attacks? Retrominano is now back to level 1 and it’s a disgrace it had to come to that in order to be able to play a game he obviously enjoys. Sadly there’s not much Treyarch or Microsoft can do as Retrominano was the one specifically targeted and not the hosting servers.
