With just over 50 hours to go as of press time, 2D cyberpunk RPG Dex has almost achieved its next stretch goal when combining Kickstarter pledges with PayPal donations. At £26K Wii U is unlocked.
Developer Dreadlocks hopes they also get voted for in the ‘Best Upcoming’ category of the annual Indie of the Year awards. A new stretch goal at £31k would extend the game.
Those precious hours are ticking away for Dreadlocks’ 2D cyberpunk RPG to scrounge what dystopic monies it can. They’ve also lowered the NPC reward tier to £180.
”We are happy to announce we crossed the £24,000 threshold here on Kickstarter! That is exactly ten thousand pounds more than our initial goal. Yeah! Combined with Paypal (right now £438 and rising), we are just about £1500 from the Wii U stretch goal. This means we can possibly hit it in the next 24 hours, giving us the final days to march forward to the £31,000 game extension goal (more details about that one coming soon),” posted Dreadlocks.
”Based on the community’s request (and since we really want some of our fans to be digitalized into the game and inhabit Harbor Prime!), we decided to lower the Citizen reward tier to a contribution of £180. The other, higher reward tiers remain – and will remain – unchanged.”
The entire game world of Dex is 2D but there’s a big world to explore teeming with quests and colourful characters that don’t pay us much mind, want us for something or fancy our organs on the black market.
Don’t forget to check out Dex on IndieDB which has another 12 hours of voting left. The Kickstarter campaign is here.
