Sony prices PS4 at $399 in US, 349 GBP in UK, but $599 model may be coming

Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 in the US would be $399.99 in the US and 349 GBP in the UK, but Games Industry BIZ is reporting that Sony may release 3 SKUs of the PS4, one with a high price of $599.

According to the site, a source informed them Sony’s looking to push 4K resolution technology as a “stepping stone” to glasses free 3D, and that there may be a high-end SKU of $599.

It remains to be seen what the eventual SKUs may be.
