Around 800 employees will be without work. Closing down offers and promotions are expected for those shuttering, while others continue as normal. 'Closures necessary for sale', they say.
The Blockbuster chain entered administration back in January as it could no longer battle debts. There are a number interested in all or parts of the business.
"We have continued to review the performance of individual stores since our appointment a month ago and have concluded that further closures are necessary in order to restructure the company for sale," said Lee Manning, join administrator.
"We are in discussions with a number of parties interested in purchasing all or parts of the business and will update on progress in due course."
