Former Crytek General Manager Nick Button-Brown, responsible for directing development on titles like Crysis 3 and recent Xbox One launch title Ryse joins London based tech start up Improbable Studios as Studio Head.
The appointment was announced in a statement released today in which Button-Brown spoke of his excitement at the appointment, saying,”I loved the energy of the company when I first met Herman and the team, and the chance to be involved in this young company from very early on was really exciting. The technology will allow, for the first time, new gaming experiences that I have always dreamed of creating.”
Button-Brown was formerly the general manager of games at Crytek, and prior to that he worked at Electronic Arts, leaving the company in February 2009. He has over 15 years in the games industry.
Herman Narula, Improbable CEO said, “We’re delighted to have Nick joining Improbable. His deep knowledge of the industry and development expertise are tremendous assets to our team. Nick has the perfect balance of vision and experience to help us bring new, disruptive technology to the industry.”
