How do you get a major developer’s attention? 19 year old gamer Alexander Velicky spent a year making a mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with around 25 hours of all-new content, developed chiefly by himself for a year.
The goal of making the mod was his way of applying for work at Bethesda.
The content includes not only a land mass a third the size of the original game populated with new characters, new voices, and new quests, but a new soundtrack as well.
According to Velicky, “I organized everyone involved, but the voice actors themselves recorded all the dialogue and submitted it to me. I had some people help me out with a few models and textures, someone wrote a book or two for me… But otherwise all content was implemented, written and developed by me.”
