Fans of the CW channel in the US will be able to get video-on-demand on Xbox Live Marketplace with a new app debuting this Friday.
Gamers who download the app will get to watch shows such as “The Vampire Diaries,” “Supernatural,” “Arrow” and “Beauty & the Beast.”
The CW channel app will also have extensive SmartGlass support, which will ”provide exciting new content via their smartphone or tablet not available to any other viewers. Experiences and content that can only be discovered using the Xbox SmartGlass experience includes:

A map that follows the characters through town, revealing events throughout the town’s history

Biographies of each character

Legends and lore of New Orleans and the world of “The Vampire Diaries”
The app will only work if the user owns an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
