Rumor: Ubisoft working on The Crew, spiritual successor to Test Drive racing games

Ubisoft made mention of two unannounced titles in their investor call for 2012, one of which was later revealed to be Rainbow Six: Patriots (which was recently reported to be dead in the water and cancelled). It seems the other could be a racing title called The Crew, which will reportedly be shown off at E3 2013.

According to a report from The Examiner, The Crew is ”realistic title, possibly being positioned against Forza and Gran Turismo”.

Now, some screenshots have been allegedly been leaked from the game, which is reputedly being developed by a studio named Ivory Studios, which was intriguingly rumored to be working on a new Test Drive game. Atari will be auctioning off the IP, so if Ubisoft nabs the license, the game could very well be an actual Test Drive game (Test Drive: The Crew?)
