They want to squeeze all that platform goodness out of Banjo-Kazooie, The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario 64. They plan to catch that ”same magic and wonder” from those bygone days.
Not only are we promised the cutting edge of running, jumping and even wall-jumping , but also the latest in umbrella technology to traverse the game world.
The Danish indie team would very much like $30,000 for A Hat in Time, which is well on its way as there are 29 days to go and they’ve already achieved 50% of their funding. The game is split into five story segments or ‘chapters’, and each of those is broken down into acts. It’s the same as choosing different star levels in Super Mario 64, they explain.
They’ve already unveiled stretch goals in case Kickstarter backers are feeling particularly intrigued. At the $50k mark we get co-op mode, with an additional bonus chapter at $80k, full voice acting at $95k and another bonus chapter at $110k.
