Hearthstone is only just done with its first expansion, Curse of Naxxramas, but Blizzard has got its sights set on another big content pack. Rather than another solo adventure, however, the plan is to add a bunch more cards.
Speaking to Massively, game director Eric Dodds said that the next expansion will add over 100 cards to the game, available in a new type of card pack.
Currently you can either opt for earning cards in-game, or buying random packs with real or in-game currency. You might think that adding so many new options would lead to a great big unbalanced mess, but Dodds is apparently confident in his testing team. He actually describes them as ”legend”, which is nice of him.
Considering the sizable Curse of Naxxramas added only 30 new cards, this next batch should give veteran players something to think about. No word on a planned release date yet.
