Jagex promise ”fast-paced, battle centric, tactical action” in Transformers Universe, where we’ll use a ”unique collection” of Transformers cooked up by Hasbro.
The development of Transformers Universe has certainly been a troubled one and was originally scheduled for 2012, but Jagex suffered layoffs and all went silent.
”We’ve built a massively online, tactical action game, or MOTA as I like to call it,” revealed Jagex CEO Mark Gerhard. “Transformers Universe offers fast-paced, battle centric, tactical action with a selection of game modes for core gamers, casual gamers and Transformers enthusiasts alike.”
There will be ”special appearances” by the Transformers elite personalities, with the Autobot and Decepticon factions at each other’s throats throughout. Bots are, of course, faction specific with unique weapon and ability loadouts.
Jagex will release an in-engine trailer for Transformers Universe ahead of it summer 2014 launch.
