The turn-based RPG Child of Light from Ubisoft will be with us at the end of April, bringing its 2D platforming to PC and consoles. It's powered by the UbiArt Framework engine, the same as Rayman Legends.
We play Aurora, a child taken from her home and on a quest to return, but who must also rescue the sun, the moon and the stars from the Queen of Night. We get a firefly buddy.
Most of the creative team working on Child of Light came from Ubisoft's Far Cry 3 project, and they wanted something radically different from running and gunning.
Child of Light releases on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4 April 30th. It's a side-scrolling platformer with RPG elements and an upgradable skill tree akin to Far Cry 3, just without the tattoos.
