Worms creator Team17 has signed up Dlala Studios’ 2D brawler Overruled! where the actual rules of the game are changed by the players from over ”20 dynamic change ‘em up cards” that’ll alter the battle and scores.
You could start in Deathmatch but a rival could switch it to King of the Hill, in both local and online multiplayer. Team17 say it could be a ”real-time Worms-like game” in the making.
”Overruled! simply has the potential to be a very successful real-time Worms-like game, and working together we can make this happen. We get what they want to achieve and that’s building a studio with great IP, we’re here to help them achieve that dream. We’re delighted to welcome them to our amazing family of talented developers that are already part of our third-party publishing program,” announced Team17 managing director, Debbie Bestwick.
Overruled is in development for PC and other platforms with a release scheduled for later this year. We choose from a diverse bunch of characters and then get to messing with the game rules in this multiplayer arena-based brawler.
