Developer Triumph Studios has just posted an 18 minute gameplay walkthrough in Let’s Play style, as they reveal the Archdruid leader class and Random Map generator for Age of Wonders III.
Archdruids form cities that are ”natural, self-sufficient” settlements with natural balance their bedrock. The Random Map Generator supports all manner of custom settings.
A lengthy developer diary was posted at the beginning of this month which explored Triumph’s work on the randomised maps, and what considerations they took into account.
The Archdruid leader class is explained more on the official Age of Wonders III website. So far the studio has detailed the Dreadnought, Sorcerer, Rogue, and now Archdruid, with Theocrat and Warlord left. Age of Wonders III releases on PC in 2014.
