Until now the only connection I made between the city of Vancouver and video games was the opening level of Mass Effect 3 - shows what I know.
This week’s Humble Bundle is a Vancouver special, celebrating the best of British Columbian game development by offering titles like Penny Arcade Adventures, Shank 2 and Plants vs. Zombies for a knockdown price.
In total there’s $57 worth of games on offer. You can get hold of Penny Arcade Adventures 1 and 2, Shank, The Baconing and Boximals Bounce by paying whatever you want, but you’ll have to cough of the mighty sum of $6 to grab Shank 2 and Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition.
Some neat titles in there. Particularly 2D side-scrolling beat-‘em-up Shank and its sequel, which will keep you entertained by throwing hordes of bad guys at you for you to fillet with your combat knife.
As usual you can choose where your money goes: this time your options are DigiBC, a non-profit organisation that raises the profile of gaming studios and digital industries in British Columbia, and Child’s Play Charity. You’ve got until October 23 to grab the Bundle.
