At some points there's actually enough light to see some things! Seriously though, the atmosphere here seems much closer to Resident Evil's gloomy survival horror roots than the series' recent move towards over-the-top action.
Claire and Moira wake up to find themselves in some kind of abandoned facility, trapped with a bunch of chaps with poor personal hygiene and a taste for human flesh. Expect lots of creepy buildings to explore, a dank, oppressive atmosphere and sudden bursts of violence. Oh, and lots of rooting around for keys in bits of dead person. We've seen all this before, but that doesn't mean it won't be a fun ride. With this and The Evil Within round the corner it's a good time to be a survival horror fan.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is due out early next year on PC and consoles.
