Nisha the gunslinger is one of four main characters from the upcoming spin-off shooter Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Developer Gearbox has just released a new video showing off some of her sharpshooting skills.
The video was filmed at PAX Prime, and features narration by members of both Gearbox and publisher 2K’s teams.
Nisha’s action skill is ‘Slowdown’, which allows her to automatically flick between targets, and buffs up her firing speed, reload speed and damage. This ability can be slightly altered via progressing one of Nisha’s three skill trees.
‘Law and Order’ focuses on buffing Nisha when she takes damage, making her more deadly in combat the lower she is on health. It also packs a few upgrades for her trusty bullwhip, the game’s first long-distance melee weapon. ‘Fan the Hammer’ makes Nisha into a pistoleer, and the final skill allows her to wield an exact copy of her main pistol weapon for her off-hand. ‘Riflewoman’… you don’t need me to tell you what that does, right? Good, because they kind of gloss over that one. Lots of long-range sniping, by the sound of it.
There’s plenty of gameplay alongside the look at skills and abilities. It’s very Borderlands. If you like the series, there’s more of the same here. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is out this October 14 for PC and last-gen consoles.
