Overkill has announced some new DLC for their co-op heist game PayDay 2 based on the movie Point Break (the remake, but it's hard to differentiate so it's easy to pretend it's the original 1990's film.) One DLC will be a premium pack, while the other is free. The DLC is being produced in collaboration with Alcon Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures and Lionsgate.
The premium pack is called The Point Break Heists DLC, and will run gamers $6.99. It includes two new heists, Beneath the Mountain and Birth of Sky, a new secondary pistol weapon, four new melee weapons, five achievements for each map, four new masks, patterns and materials, a new contact named Locke, and six new songs, including two all-new heist themes composed Simon Viklund as well as four menu themes from the Point Break remake soundtrack.
Meanwhile, the free DLC is called the Bodhi Character Pack, and includes a new playable character - Bodhi, of course - a new sniper rifle, a new melee weapon, a new perk deck, and two new masks.
The controversy still rages about Overkill's recentmodel, but the reaction to the DLC has been mostly very positive.
