The new story quests mark the return of fan favourite chracter Minsc, best known for a) his space hamster Boo, and b) his starring role in theRPG series.
The new class, the Oathbound Paladin, can choose to either focus on tanking or healing and buffing his or her allies. The module also bumps the level cap from 60 to 70, and adds new features and abilities for the other seven classes in the game.
“Our team is thrilled to revisit one of the most iconic stories of Dungeons & Dragons with Neverwinter: Elemental Evil,” says Rob Overmeyer, executive producer of Neverwinter. “Aspiring to deliver our biggest expansion to-date, our team at Cryptic focused on introducing long-requested gameplay features as well as building more Dungeons & Dragons lore into our game.”
Elemental Evil is a throwback to the classic module, which is regarded as one of the best pen and paper adventures ever made. It was also the subject of a back in 2003, which was pretty good too – if a little fiddly.
