Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is looking to outdo the previously released Human Revolution in a number of ways. The story, mechanics, and visual concerns have been a matter of constant question by fans lately. Recently, Executive Game Director Jean-François Dugas himself answered at least one concern that will delight PC gamers. Mankind Divided will have an FOV slider at launch on PC.
FOV sliders adjust the field of vision or how wide the range is that players can see on their monitors. Heightening FOV allows players to see more, which would be advantageous in a lot of first-person games, but the widened field of view can also cause motion sickness. For squeamish players, it helps to turn FOV down. Dugas could not answer for consoles, but he said for certain that PC gamers will have access to an FOV slider on day one of the game.
PC version will have it. https://t.co/MwsqmyLHg7

This actually came as a response to a tweet directed at Dugas questioning whether there would be an frames-per-second cap on Mankind Divided. The answer was a little vague. Dugas confirmed that console versions of the would be locked at 30 FPS. It seemed to be purely directed at consoles though it’s unclear whether or not this cap would apply to PC FPS as well.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is slated for February 23rd 2016 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
