Activision’s Sierra label is behind the deal to bring Rock Pocket Games’ indie Shiftlings to PC and console this spring. It’s a humours reality show style platformer with physics-based puzzles.
Our two odd-ball characters are joined by a single air hose in space, with large amounts of gas transferring between them to inflate one or other to solve quirky puzzles. There are 50 levels to beat.
The game is set in an intergalactic reality show where these two ”intrepid janitorial heroes” but stumble about solving puzzles together, with a reality show host narrating along the way.
”Shiftlings was the kind of game we immediately knew we wanted to work on after playing it,” said Bob Loya of Sierra. ”Rock Pocket’s inventive take on the puzzle platformer epitomises Sierra’s focus on finding great indie talent within the development community and giving them access to the tools and platforms they need to share their unique creations with the world.”
Shiftlings releases on PC and console this spring.
