Right, for my general thoughts on Creative Assembly pumping out faction DLC packs for Total War: Attila so soon after its release, I point you to 'exhibit A'.
Good. Now that's out of the way, they've only gone and released another one. This time it's the Celtic Culture Pack, which celebrates three fearless warrior cultures of Britain.
Thee Ebdanians, Caledonians and Picts all share the same 'Guerilla Deployment' trait, which gives them a much wider radius of deployment. You can even sneak units behind enemy lines. The previously over-familiar 'Nordic' core army roster is replaced by a 'Celtic' one, and each of the three factions has their own unique troops, buildings and General's skill tree.
Finally, they'll each be able to take part in an all new quest chain, the Cycle of the Ollam Ri, which will offer faction-specific rewards.
The Creative Assembly seems to be putting a decent whack of content into these DLC packs, even if I'm still a little unimpressed by how quickly they come out. It rankles that unless you shell out for this pack, troops from the British tribes in your game will still use the regular Nordic troop list as the basis for their armies.
Ah, well. Like the two other faction packs already available for Attila, the Celtic Culture Pack will cost you £5.99.
